Summary
As a recently graduated MBA, Mr. Wilson brings a vast array of skills and knowledge
to Apex Partners and its clientele. During the past three years he has provided
strategic consulting for a diverse array of firms, including a Fortune-500 company
(Dell) and a governmental agency (Tennessee Department of Safety). In addition,
Mr. Wilson has over seven years of professional service in industries ranging
from transportation to automotive retail to financial services.
Mr. Wilson brings a keen eye in the areas of strategic positioning,
operational efficiency, and information expertise, helping clients to find value
in mid-market firms. His disciplined approach to problem solving, combined with
his creative thinking, create win-win situations for all parties
involved.
Education and Accreditation
Mr. Wilson earned his MBA in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University
in Nashville, Tennessee. He built on his business experience by focusing in
strategy, operations, and information technology. At Vanderbilt he graduated
in the top 10% of his class, earning acceptance into Beta Gamma Sigma, the business
honors society.
Mr. Wilson received his bachelor of business administration in
finance from the University of Miami, Florida, where he received general honors
recognition.
Work Experience
Mr. Wilson began his career with Federal Express Incorporated (FedEx)
as a financial analyst supporting the companys Latin America operations.
In this role, he was primarily responsible for the development and analysis
of key management reports, as well as for the creation and maintenance of the
divisions capital and operating budgets. His role was later expanded to
include corporate financial planning duties, specifically in the areas of strategic
planning, aircraft and route optimization, and the application of new technology.
Leveraging the skills developed at FedEx, Mr. Wilson was recruited
as a senior analyst in the automotive retail startup AutoNation USA. Working
in the wholesale and merchandising group, he developed and used analytical models
and internal consulting skills to optimize the AutoNation supply chain. He later
moved into a management position where he assumed responsibility for all accounting
and finance functions for a major reconditioning operation.
Most recently, Mr. Wilson worked for Deloitte Consulting LLP,
where he gained experience in the financial services and venture capital industries.
Mr. Wilson currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with
his wife.
